Acrylic Mixed Media on Gallery Wrapped Canvas
This painting represents the moments when you consider how you will handle a challenging situation.
The flying girl is pausing to look at her situation in a different way.
"See that problem down there? The one you thought was so huge?
From this perspective, it's not that big at all."
I love the panoramic vista from high places, especially when traveling. As I sit and look down on the world from the jet's window, I imagine that this could be God's perspective. "A God's Eye View" (like a bird's eye view) was one title I considered for this work. The "mountains" are actually quite small from this vantage point.
Some of the symbolism in this piece:
The river and the bridge form a large X - it is an axis, a point of decision.
Once you've seen "A Different Perspective" will you act differently? Will you let the Peace of God rule in your heart? Will your anxiety and despair fade?
This painting is designed to encourage you to do just that.
You can see 8 lights on the bridge. The number 8 has a few meanings. The best known are 1: A New Beginning (Bible), and 2: Luck and Prosperity (Chinese).
A fun fact: it takes 8 minutes for the sun's light to reach the earth. You can decide for yourself if the sun is rising or setting in this image.
It could be the dawning of a new day filled with hope. It could also be evening, the time of peace and rest from your concerns.
Blessings,
Elaine
